Hi, I'm Kim.

Kim, founder of Grace Blooms, in a white suit in an armchair

I'm the founder of Grace Blooms, and I wear an adjustable chain every single day. At least one. Usually more. This store is where we keep just the adjustable chains. It's the same Grace Blooms. Same chains, same people.

We were already selling the chain, made with our manufacturing partner in Italy, when we brought it into Costco years ago. We had eight collections from all over the world, and usually when customers fall in love with one product, they love that one product. Not this one. The adjustable chain took off, so we added a second style, and people loved it just as much. They wanted the chain in multiple styles, multiple colors, multiple lengths. When we put it online it was bye-bye. Everyone wanted it. We have sold millions of them since, at Costco and online, and more than fifteen years later I still think it's the coolest thing in my jewelry box.

Here's why, and I'll show you. On the chains 24 inches and up, you never have to open the clasp to get dressed. They go right over your head, on and off. Then I hold the little gasket and pull the chain straight through, and it sits at whatever length I want. Long over a sweater one day. Right at my collarbone the next. It still has a regular lobster clasp, so you can change your pendant like any other chain. One chain. That perfect length, every time.

Most of our chains are brass underneath with a real 18K gold or rhodium finish, and every one of them is nickel-free. If one fails within a year, we'll replace it if it's in stock. If it isn't, we'll send you a gift card for what you paid.

I gave one to my grandmother with a Tree of Life pendant, and I wore the matching one. I knew she was getting older, and she needed it. I wanted her to have something that connected us both, and to feel confident she could wear it without any help. I don't think we realized how hard that is, and what a big deal it was to give that back. Now that I'm a new grandma myself, and coming to grips with the fact that I'm not as young as I used to be, the freedom of putting on my own jewelry and styling myself without asking for help is an added bonus I didn't fully appreciate before.

One lady at Costco came back to show me she had put every pendant she owned on one chain, and she kept the ones she wasn't wearing behind her neck and slid her favorite around to the front, and she was so happy about it that it made my day. The message I think about most is a customer who wrote to say she could wear her family heirloom locket again, and I thought, that's why we do it. Jewelry is meaningful. You buy it to remember a vacation, you give it for a graduation or an anniversary, a grandma gives it to a granddaughter going off into the workforce. I love that women can give women this gift and know it's something that will be appreciated and worn.

We ship from our own warehouse in Eagle, Idaho, usually the next business day. A real person answers our email. I post articles here showing you how to use and care for your adjustable chains, styling tutorials, tips and tricks, and more. I hope you'll enjoy the world of accessible jewelry through adjustable chains as much as I do.

XOXO, Kim
